Derrick Mitchell is the new voice of the Westcoast. His witty wordplay sets him apart from the rest in Hip Hop music. Always thinking outside of the box when he creates a song, he is sure to make more noise. His State of Mind mixtape series is currently available. Self-distributed all around the Southern California area. With tracks like "Flashy" and "The Clock Keeps Tickin", he is beginning to make a name for himself. Representing Los Angeles, California, Derrick has been rhyming just shortly after he graduated high school. He was kicked out of his home, lost his car and job and soon began to feel music is all he has. Slowly, friends began to change and everything began to fall apart. The only thing that kept D.M good was his music. Performing around the Long Beach and Los Angeles area, D.M is looking like the future. Get fressshhhh!!

We released the "False Alarm EP" for free download with WeNevaStop Records in August 2008. We then played a bunch of shows with bands like The Gaslight Anthem, A Wilhelm Scream, Polar Bear Club, American Steel, Shirock, and many others. During this time we wrote 5 new songs which we recorded in June 2009, "That's Life" being one of them. We get our sound from fast melodic punk rock bands like The Swellers, Much The Same and A Wilhelm Scream, as well as pop punk bands like Green Day, Blink-182 and Bad Religion.
