Austin-based bedroom producer Sleepy 5 Orchestra sought out top underground Houston MC Perseph1 after hearing her on a mixtape. After meeting at a Lady Sovereign concert and seeing her kill everybody in a freestyle at a C-Rayz Walz show, Sleepy 5 Orchestra put together some beats specifically for her. She chose three of them to lace up and they went on to become the Ampersand EP. This is the second track from that collaboration.

Matt Kraska and Dennis Haworth met in the 7th grade at Brown Middle School in Ravenna Ohio. Growing up the two listened to various pop punk bands including Blink 182, Green Day, MXPX and Busted. Matt took up guitar in February of 2005 and Dennis took up bass a month later. Matt began writing simple songs such as "Yes Score," and "Tomorrow." Since then the duo have advanced their musical skills to include Dennis on guitar and both Matt and Dennis on keyboard. During that time Matt also worked on his lyrical writing and developed such songs as "Hero," "It's Just Love," and "Right Way." In addition, the two have recorded an acoustic demo consisting of five songs, which will be available for a small donation. Matt Kraska is a third cousin to famous musician Tom Jones though they have never met.

Uptown Potbelly store on Pearl and McKinney across the street from The Crescent during lunch every Tuesday. (I won't be playing either restaurant the last week of May though.)

I will also be playing at Neuhaus Cafe July the 13th and July the 27th. It's on the northwest corner of Preston and Royal, next the the Barnes and Noble store.
