Velocita
featured song "Florian 1.0"
Electronic
Los Angeles, CA
Inspired by the color, speed, and dynamism of the Futurist Art movement, Velocita is DJ-Producing duo that seeks to explore the possibilities of electronic music creation given the resources of the Digital Age. Velocita is rooted in the Italian word and idea for ëspeed,í drafting for itself a direct translation. Two prodigal sons of Southern California, Velocita delves into the dark caverns of a Neo-Renaissance of electronic dynamism, revitalizing the tenets of energy, movement, and most importantly, sensation provocation. Using a red, black, and white color scheme, Velocita identifies itself with a Post-Industrial suave nostalgic in the spirituality of the nomadic human mind and soul. Music for musicís sake, ìVelocita wants to sing the love of danger, the habit of energy and rashness.î The institution of music shall be abolished with its replacement being the artistic, literary poetry of Velocita. The duo defines itself as such: The Sound and The Fury, summoning the transcendent, electronic tones audibly and manifesting this music into a rhythmic flurry of dance and energy for all audiences. The idea of Velocita is not so much progression, but instead the unifying power of modernismís progress in its digitization of both music and the soul.
